LA BUSCA (at an altitude of 287 m.) is located in the heart of Tuscany, only 18 kilometres South East of Siena. Looking North, the property opens up to the “Crete Senesi”, looking East it offers views on the “Val d’Orcia” (Unesco World Heritage) and looking South one can appreciate the beautiful landscape of the “Val di Merse” and the start of the metalliferous mountains (one of Tuscany’s natural reserves). On top of a hill, the farmhouse and the apartments enjoy a stunning view over the Sienese landscape. (From la Busca to Siena, there is an easy and pleasant drive along secondary non-asphalt roads only).

Two kilometres away from la BUSCA, you can find the little village called Vescovado di Murlo with its 2 mini-markets, a bakery (home-made bread and cookies), a butcher, a bank (with an ATM machine), a newsagent (newspapers, cigarettes, stamps, etc…), a chemist, a post office, the doctor and of course, different restaurants offering local dishes for every taste and every budget. There is a supermarket about 8 kilometres away.

LA BUSCA estate has at its disposal 30 hectares of woodland, fields, vineyard, olive groves, the original farm with the apartments, a huge garden, the swimming pool and 2 ponds.

From time to time, we organize our famous “barbecue fiorentina” meal or a guest table with our local products on our panoramic terrace. Barbecue sets can also be found close to the apartments.

Who are we ?
Caroline Cardon de Lichtbuer
Caroline is an interior designer who, at the end of her studies, took a 10-month’s training course in Florence. Her passion for Tuscany dates from that time. Both the concept and the design of La Busca are her creation and show her talent for beautifully integrated colour and light space. Caroline will happily advice you about water-colour painting, local markets, antic fairs and maybe, share with you the secret of her tomatoes.

Thierry Hazée
Thierry is an archaeologist and caught Caroline’s passion for Tuscany. He is responsible for the agricultural side of La Busca. He loves good food and will share with you his tips & pointers about Tuscan food and you can even taste his own cooking... You can also talk with him about literature and writing... He shall also be happy to organize a trip to discover some quiet, little-known places or to guide you in the lovely Etruscan Museum of Murlo.

LA BUSCA Wild Life
In the course of seasons and morning or late hours, a bird can appear, or a wild-pork, a deer, a porcupine and so many others... You can see many of them but remember that they are wild so please be quiet and a perfect watcher.
